Seed Tests

Note: this is an integration with GlockApps. You can connect your GlockApps account. Contact your Customer Success Manager to have your GlockApps account connected.

Seed testing provides you with critical delivery information on whether the ISPs will deliver the message to the inbox, the bulk folder or block the message. You may also use this report to check and validate sending infrastructure, content and reputation.

You will have two options for requesting seed tests during the mailing creation process.

  • Integrated seed test - deployed when the mailing is sent.

  • Standalone seed test - used and viewed prior to sending a mailing.

You are able to view results within the mailing as soon as they are available or view the results in the reports tab.

Viewing seed reports within the mailing

For the standalone seed test, results will show within the mailing, displaying underneath the run test button.

The tab will not automatically refresh to display results after you run the test. When a test is first requested, you will see a confirmation message.

There are two ways to pull in updated results:

  • Leave and come back to the tab.
  • Click the refresh results button.

Viewing the report from the reports tab

  1. Open the reports tab.
  2. Select seed test results.
  3. All of the requested reports will display, with the most recent requests listed first.

Tip: if the report you are looking for is not visible, use the search function or click on a column heading to re-sort the reports.

You can sort by ID, title, test type, or mailing type. The test type is used specifically for the seed reports to differentiate between the Integrated and Standalone seed tests.

  4. Click on the ID link to open the report.
Tip: you can also view the integrated seed test from the detailed mailing report.

Understanding the seeding reports

Both the Standalone and the Integrated Seed Tests are broken into two tabs, Consumer Providers and B2B Providers. The reports are represented in the same format; the difference is in the clients that are listed.

The overall seeded inbox delivery percentage is listed at the top left corner. You can also see the percentage that went to spam, and the percentage of messages missing. Scroll through the page to see these delivery rates by ISP.

As soon as results start to become available, they will be displayed in the report. This does not mean the report has finished generating. It can take several minutes to get accurate results.

If you see a large number of ISPs indicating your mailing is missing or in spam, try clicking the Refresh Results button to bring in updated information.

Note: to view additional results, uncheck the United States only box in the top right corner.
